Telehouse Unveils Liquid Cooling Lab with Legrand & EkkoSense
Telehouse, a global leader in data center colocation services, has unveiled its state-of-the-art liquid cooling lab at Telehouse South, part of its London Docklands campus—Europe's most connected data center hub. This facility showcases cutting-edge cooling technologies from industry leaders, including Legrand and EkkoSense, helping customers tackle the rising thermal demands of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads.

Advancing Sustainable Cooling with Legrand
Legrand plays a pivotal role in this initiative with the installation of its USystems ColdLogik CL20 Rear Door Heat Exchanger (RDHx). This award-winning cooling method supports over 90kW capacity per cabinet, efficiently negating heat at the source and eliminating the need for containment. Drawing ambient air into the rack via IT equipment fans, the hot exhaust air is expelled from the equipment and pulled over the heat exchanger assisted by EC fans mounted in the RDHx chassis. The exhaust heat transfers into the cooling fluid within the heat exchanger and the newly chilled air is expelled into the room to ensure optimal cooling while enhancing energy efficiency. The ColdLogik CL20's adaptive intelligence feature enables automated room temperature control, delivering a future-proof, efficient, and sustainable cooling approach for high-density computing environments.
James Giblette, Business Unit Director, Legrand UK & Ireland, underscores the importance of innovation and efficiency in data center cooling:
"This is a very promising partnership which provides us with another opportunity to demonstrate how our solutions-based, problem-solving, integrated approach helps the data center industry move towards a more sustainable, energy-efficient future at a time of high-density, high-performance computing. This is a fast-changing market where coordinated innovation and comprehensive approach are what deliver results."
AI-Powered Optimization from EkkoSense
EkkoSense brings its industry-leading AI-driven data center optimization solutions to the Telehouse liquid cooling lab. Through its EkkoSim' what-if?' scenario simulations, air-side and liquid-side monitoring sensors, and EkkoSoft Critical 3D visualization platform, EkkoSense enables real-time analysis and predictive insights into data center performance. Already deployed across Telehouse’s London Docklands campus, EkkoSense’s AI platform has improved cooling performance and reduced operational complexity for the Telehouse operations team.
A Future-Ready Collaboration
While Legrand and EkkoSense are central to driving liquid cooling innovation at Telehouse, other pioneering technologies from Accelsius and JetCool are also showcased within the lab, further expanding the range of cooling options available to customers.
Mark Pestridge, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Telehouse Europe, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration:
"Our liquid cooling lab is a very exciting partnership with three of the most innovative and experienced companies in the cutting-edge field of liquid cooling technology. We are committed to providing our customers with the best solutions that meet their needs for high levels of efficiency and sustainability."
"The challenges generated by the growth of high-performance, high-density computing, and AI are very significant, but we are confident that our collaborative approach and a firm focus on what is practical in an advanced data center will deliver real results and provide customers and prospects with a range of realistic options."
As data center operators navigate evolving cooling challenges, the Telehouse liquid cooling lab represents a major step forward in delivering scalable, high-efficiency cooling solutions that future-proof IT infrastructure.
