Legrand Data Center Solutions is proud to announce that we have won two prestigious awards at the Electrical Review and Data Centre Review Excellence Awards 2024, held on May 16, 2024, at London's Christ Church, Spitalfields. Its Raritan brand’s PX4 line of rack power distribution units (PDUs) was selected as Data Centre Power Product of the Year, and its Minkels brand’s Nexpand cabinet airflow management platform was selected as Data Centre Hardware Solution of the Year. 

The Electrical Review and Data Centre Review Excellence Awards 2024 recognize outstanding achievements within the electrical and data center industries, celebrating companies and individuals who are shaping each sector with forward-thinking design and implementation, and championing the highest environmental, safety, and energy efficiency standards. 

Further, Raritan brand’s PX4 Intelligent Rack Power Distribution Unit (PDU) has been selected as Data Centre Solutions' (DCS) Data Centre Power Distribution Unit of the Year. Winners were established by receiving the most public votes from the readership of the Digitalisation World and Data Centre Solutions stable of publications, which were announced on May 23, 2024, at London's Leonardo Royal St Paul's Hotel.

This recognition follows another major accolade for Legrand Data Center Solutions, with its Raritan brand's PX4 Intelligent Rack PDU also winning the Electrical Review and Data Centre Review Excellence Awards for Data Centre Power Product of the Year on May 17th. 

In addition to the award for the PX4 line of PDUs, Legrand Data Center Solutions brand Minkels received recognition as runner-up in the Data Centre Sustainability Innovation of the Year category for its cabinet Airflow Management Platform, which provides data center owners and operators with the most complete, cost-effective, and energy-efficient infrastructure solution available on the market.

The DCS Awards recognize and reward the best of data center industry innovation. This year’s awards encompassed a wide range of facilities and information technology award categories designed to reflect key industry changes and challenges, including sustainability and AI.

Raritan PX4 Intelligent Rack PDU

The Raritan brand's PX4 intelligent rack PDU achieved the top award spot for its industry-proven, flexible outlet technology and innovative continuous power quality monitoring capabilities that provide a granular level of real-time power quality measurement data needed for rack power optimization to ensure uptime. The PX4 revolutionizes rack PDUs with advanced features, including total harmonic distortion measurement at both cabinet and device levels. These PDUs offer data center operators highly accurate (+/- 0.5 percent) internalized power quality monitoring and metrics with waveform capture capabilities. The visibility of peak and min/max power measurement values aids in capacity planning and failover planning, while Circuit Breaker Trip Forensics with Waveform Capture assists facility managers in pinpointing the exact outlet and potential cause of a trip, with power quality data to aid in preventing future occurrences. 

Minkels Nexpand Cabinet Airflow Management Platform

The Minkels brand's cabinet airflow management platform achieved the top award spot for its innovative package components that improve air tightness, including blanking plates, air sealing plinths, sealing strips for bayed cabinets, and game-changing cable entry seals. These components provide data center owners and operators with the most complete, cost-effective, and energy-efficient cabinet infrastructure solution available. The airflow management package components revolutionize cabinet air tightness by preventing the mixture of hot and cold airflows at the cabinet level, mitigating issues like bypass and recirculation airflows, which are key to optimizing data center efficiency.
